If you’ve been holding off on trying to tackle the not-so-easy jailbreaking process for your iPhone v1.1.1 - or if you’ve held off on the v1.1.1 update because the jailbreak process was a bit daunting - today is your day! The good folks from the iNdependence team have released their iPhone v1.1.1-compatible activation/jailbreak GUI solution for Mac OS X. Enter the Cocoa-based graphical user interface - iNdependence v1.2.2.
The iNdependence v1.2.2 jailbreak solution gives you an easier (read: more pointy and clicky) alternative to the slightly unnerving, terminal-based solution that the iPhone Dev Team released not too long ago. Once jailbroken, you can get your favorite third-party applications back onto your iPhone v1.1.1 (yes!).
Now, the iNdependence v1.2.2 jailbreak is not as simple as it used to be - v1.1.1 changed up some code that makes the process a little more complicated. But, if you get dizzy at the mention of Terminal commands, SSH, and iPhuc, head on over to iNdependence v1.2.2 Google Code website for a quick download. Oh, and you gotta have a Mac machine to use this piece of Cocoa-based software.
