iPhone lacks 802.1x support - sign this petition to make Apple support it

iPhone feature hole - 802.1x missingSo, add this to the list of features that the iPhone is missing. It seems that the iPhone won’t play nice with the college/university-favorite 802.1x network access control standard. The 802.1x IEEE standard is used to secure wireless networks and filter access to the network.

Fortunately, there’s this here petition to help convince Apple to give the iPhone 802.1x support for the iPhone. Many college students are unable to log into their campus-wireless networks because of this oversight. 802.1x should have been included in the original firmware, but with enough signatures, we might get it with the iPhone v1.1.4 software.

Let’s make this the next iPhone-feature-hole that Apple plugs!
