iPhone v1.1.4 jailbreak and SIM unlock solution gets real - iNdependence updated to jailbreak / unlock iPhone v1.1.4 firmware!

Right, so remember when I told you that the iPhone v1.1.4 firmware would be jailbroken post haste? Yea, well, v1.1.4 just got jailbroken!
While the rest of us were expecting zibri to release an updated ZiPhone that could reliably jailbreak the iPhone v1.1.4 firmware, iNdependence swooped in under the radar to claim the v1.1.4 jailbreak-prize. The Mac-based iPhone-modification tool has been updated - iNdependence 1.4 beta 5 is ready to rock and roll with the newest iPhone firmware. If you’ve got a Mac machine and an iPhone, you’re probably just as excited as our wet-pants indicate we are. iNdependence v1.4b5 takes your iPhone v1.1.4 and gives it the jailbreak treatment, topping it off with a SIM unlock (using gunlock).

But, it doesn’t stop there. iNdependence v1.4 beta 5 is an “easy-to-use interface for jailbreak, activation, SSH installation, and ringtone/wallpaper/application installation on your iPhone.” So, after you jailbreak and unlock your iPhone v1.1.4, you can customize it with all manner of ringtones and wallpapers to your heart’s content.
Enjoy!
