Mobile advertising marketplace AdMob recently released metrics on their iPhone ad unit. The results are stunning, to say the least:
- Since the announcement of the iPhone ad network in July 2007, AdMob has served over 249 million ads worldwide.
- In June, AdMob served 51.8 million iPhone-optimized ads Worldwide, a 32% increase from the 39.1 million ads served in May. Of all the ads during the period, 34 millions were served in the US, a 31% increase from the 25.9 million ads in May.
- The most traffic on the iPhone has come from United States, Philippines, United Kingdom and France.
- Major advertisers that have run iPhone ads exclusively with AdMob include Land Rover, Jaguar and Fox.
iPhone ads served through AdMob include such features as the store locator with integration of Google maps, click to call, and click to play video.

lol yes very interesting but how many motorola razor ad impressions were there in the same month globally (or even in the USA).
iPhone’s are cool but they are a drop in the ocean.
