Apple testing iPhone 2.0.1 OS - New iPhone firmware in the works

As with the original iPhone, updates to the Apple handset’s Mac OS operating system are plentiful. The latest iPhone 2.0 OS hasn’t even been official for a week and we’re hearing reports that Apple is already testing the next revision of the firmware. iPhone 2.0.1 OS has been spotted in BGR’s server logs, with packet-requests originating from the San Francisco, CA. area - near Apple’s Cupertino-based headquarters.
Apple Insider has posted a screenshot of what appears to be the iPhone 2.0.1 OS up and running on an iPhone. Original iPhones will apparently be working with iPhone 2.0.1 OS build 5B101, while iPhone 3G’s are expected to run iPhone 2.0.1 OS buil 5B103.
This newest iPhone operating system will presumably bring with it some bug fixes. But, it’s not clear what, if any, additional features will be included with the firmware update.
Could we see turn-by-turn GPS navigation in the next iPhone 2.0.1 firmware update? It sure would be a nice little addition to the iPhone 3G’s feature-set, but something tells us that it’s still too soon to expect such functionality.

Oh yeah. LOL. They may have more bars in more places but Verizon has bars in more places.

basically what he means by more bars is that he wish he didnt buy the shitty iphone 3G because the signal quality sucks and he might as well gotten the iphone Infrared which gets better signal

he means in version 2.0 the 3G had only 1 bar usually whenever you had a 3G signal and this update has boosted the signal and even more in version 2.0.2 which is live now, most of the problames with the 3G have now bin solved just a few more twicks hear and there, its not crashing in version 2.0.2 and runs alot quicker the txt lag i always use to get has been reduced and the turning off and on has become a quicker process
