No, we haven’t uncovered some secret Bluetooth A2DP feature on the iPhone, but we do have confirmation that the iPhone will play audio through your Bluetooth headset! It works, but it’s not the best solution for getting music on your headset - it’s only mono (as headsets tend to only be worn on a single ear) and the audio is also played through the iPhone’s external speakers.
We can only imagine that Apple is thinking about enabling some sort of Bluetooth audio feature for headsets, or even planning to introduce exclusive iPhone Bluetooth Headphones (that would be sooo like Apple, wouldn’t it?). For the time being, you can play the mono music through your existing Bluetooth headset with a simple little change in your audio output options:
1) Pair your Bluetooth headset with your iPhone - we’re not gonna get into the specifics, just do it.
2) Go to your Visual Voicemail and hit the “Audio” button (when the iPhone is not paired with a headset, this button will say “Speaker.”
3) Choose your headset in the subsequent audio selection dialog.
4) Get to your homescreen and hit the iPod icon.
5) Start playing a song and revel in the Bluetooth music goodness! (oh, but also remember that those around you will also have to hear your music, so just keep that in mind and be polite, ok?)

iPhone Problems, iPhone Accessories, News, iPhone
First, we get reports of some iPhones experiencing intermittent echoing problems. And, now we’re hearing reports that some of the recently released Apple Bluetooth Headsets are exhibiting some strange audio anomalies. iPhone Atlas has received reports of audio fading in and out, depending on the iPhone’s proximity to the Headset.
It seems to be a headset-specific problem - the audio “skipping” does not happen when using the wired headset or any other non-Apple Bluetooth headsets.
Anyone out there having similar problems? Give us a holler!

We’ve been hounding our local Apple Store employees almost everyday to try and get our hands on the hotly anticipated Apple Bluetooth Headset. Wouldn’t you know it? The one day we miss out on our harassing of those poor Apple workers, Apple decides to start filling shelves with the iPhone accessory. Whatever, at least it’s finally here.
The slim and sleek wireless Bluetooth headset claims a standby time of 72 hours, and 5.5 hours of talktime - all for the very Apple-esque price of $129. Online orders will take a couple weeks to get to your door, but you might be able to find one at your local Apple Store.

A thoughtful Flickr user thought it would be a good idea to post some photos of the unboxing ritual - thank you, nomad7674! Check nomad7674’s profile for more unboxing pics.
As we expected, the headset comes with a dual charging iPhone dock.
